alignleftMAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Alduis B-5 Fontenot, Sr., 89, will be Celebrated Monday, November 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg with Father Emanuel officiating.

alignleft Mr. Fontenot, a retired sharecropper and a resident of Mamou, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.

alignleft A devoted father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Alduis is survived by seven loving sons, Allen Joseph Fontenot, Ricky Fontenot and wife, Phyllis, Alduis Fontenot, Jr. and wife, Tina, all of Mamou, LA, Donald Mitchel Fontenot and wife, Emelda of Basile, LA, Ronald Fontenot and wife, Leslie of Atlanta, GA, Eldron Fontenot and wife, Jacquline of Houston, TX, and Patrick Fontenot and wife, Cynthia of Chataigner, LA; seven daughters, Sherry Fontenot, Veronica Pinkie Richardson and husband, Jimmy, all of Mamou, LA, Eura Mae Hall and husband, Otis of Vinton, LA, Diana Johnson, Romona Gail Fontenot, Georgiana Ardoin and husband, Ronald, all of Lake Charles, LA, Eranda Fontenot of Houston, TX; thirty-nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilger Fontenot of Elton, LA; three sisters, Pearl Lartigue of Eunice, LA, Vergie Franklin of Chula Vista, CA, and Minerva McCrea of Jennings, LA.

alignleft His wife, Eva Fontenot, preceded him in death.

alignleft The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Monday, November 10, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until Services. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
