MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Alice Faye McGee Reed, 63 announces her passing on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 9:16 am at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Richie House of Prayer Church in Eunice at 4146 Johnson Hwy, Eunice, La. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg with Rev. Joey Reed officiating.
Alice was a very wonderful person everyone who knew her will miss her. She was employed at Mamou High School as a Cafeteria Employee. She was a member of the Richie House of Prayer Church.
Alice will be greatly missed by her husband of 45 years, Johnny Reed of Mamou her mother, Pearl A. Vidrine of Mamou three sons, Rev.Joey Reed and wife Naomi of Eunice, Brandon Reed and wife, Jessica, and Byron Reed both of Mamou one brother, Michael McGee of Kerrville, Tx two sisters, Glenda Bacon of Pine Prairie and Sharona LeBouef of Duralde ten grandchildren, Camry, Ansley, Myranda, Melania, Dylan, Kaleb, Keegan, Micah, Hayden and Lillian
Alice will now reunite in Heaven with her father Iray McGee, one son, Johnny Reed, Jr. And two brothers, Danny McGee and Gary McGee the reunion will be a joyous one indeed.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm On Sunday, January 26, 2014, Alice will be at the House of Prayer Church in Richie from 10:00 am until time of services.Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
