MAMOU- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Allie Ann Guillory Reed of New Iberia at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, June 2nd 2016, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 12 noon until time of services. Allie Ann passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the New Iberia Medical Center following a protracted illness. She is survived by her loving husband, McNallan J. "Mac" Reed; two sons, Stephen Reed of Belle Chasse and Mark Reed of Houston; one daughter, Victoria Reed Murry of Alexandria; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reed was born December 13, 1939 in Mamou, Louisiana and graduated from Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge in 1957. She was very close to all of her children and grand children and enjoyed cooking for them all at their many family get-togethers. She and Mac enjoyed traveling overseas during his retirement and brought back many pictures and stories from all of the places they visited. Ann will be greatly missed by her family and her many dear friends that she leaves behind.
