MAMOU-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Amanda Lenae Soileau Douget, 47, announces her passing at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria on May 06, 2016, at 11:04 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Matthew Bazarre as Celebrant.
A wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend Amanda will be greatly missed by her husband, Jeffery Jay Douget of Reddell; two sons, Jarred Douget and Fiance', Kate Spears and Travis Douget and wife, Hannah all of Reddell; three daughters, Brandy Fontenot of Reddell, Brittany Fontenot and husband, Timothy Mochel of Vidrine and Brandie Fontenot of Ville Platte; two brothers, Ray Ryder of Reddell and Mitch Soileau of Mamou; one sister, Debbie Fulton of Easton and two grandchildren, Timothy Wayne Mochel, Jr and Linda Shyanne Douget.
Amanda will now reunite in Heaven with her parents, Irving and Rose Soileau and one sister, Danette Vasseur. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Douget family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, May 09, 2016 from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 8:00 am until time of Services.
