MAMOU – Funeral Services will be held for Barbara Ann Lafleur at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou. Interment will be at New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Barbara Ann Lafleur, a cherished mother, and absolutely loved grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 15, 2023. Born in Lafayette, October 28, 1952, Barbara lived her life with unlimited joy and kindness.

Barbara's life was devoted to her family, whom she loved dearly. She poured her heart into creating beautiful Barbie and baby doll clothes for her precious grandchildren, ensuring every detail was perfect. Her creative talent brought delight to her loved ones.

Barbara was known for her baking skills, especially her enticing sweet potato sweet dough pies and mouth-watering pecan candy, a delicacy that graced many special occasions. Her homemade treats were always in high demand, comforting countless hearts and satisfying sweet-tooth cravings. She took great pleasure in sharing her delicious creations, bringing smiles and happiness to those who tasted them.

But above all, Barbara's unconditional love for her grandchildren was unparalleled. She cherished their presence in her life, showering them with affection, support, and unwavering devotion. They were her pride and joy, and her love for them knew no bounds. She embraced every moment spent in their company, creating timeless memories that will forever be treasured.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Melisa Pommier and husband, Tony, Billie Jo Coker and husband, David; sons, August Castille, Jr., James Castille, Sr. and wife, Pamela, Kevin Castille and wife, Kristy; grandchildren, Brandon Desirae, Ashley John Tyler, John Kaleb, Brandy, James, Jr., Jonathon, James Christopher, Jared, Travis, Josh, Chad, Katelin, Brittany, Taylor, Heather and Twenty-Five Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, August Castille, Sr. and her second husband, Ronald Lafleur; her parents, Edward Guillory, and Frazine Richard; and her son, John Clay Castille.

At the families request, Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou beginning on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 8:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM.
