Barbara Jane Marcantel, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister left this world on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the age of 69. Although she was born in Grubbs, Arkansas, Barbara had to live in south Louisiana because of the delicious food that was available here.
She will be greatly missed by those that loved her including her memory are her daughter Lana Gulley, two "rough and tough" grandsons Justin Gulley and Jacob Marcantel all of Reddell. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters: Margie Spoon and Verna Dowd both of DeQueen, Arkansas, and Emma Perez of Aurora, Illinois, and her brother James Acklen of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
She now rests with her husband, Roland "Toto" Marcantel, grandson Hunter Trace Gulley, parents William L. and Mattie J. Acklen, paternal grandparents John W. and Fannie Acklen, maternal grandparents John H. and Sara Viola Holder, brothers John Acklen, Robert Acklen, Hubert Acklen, and L. D. Acklen, and sisters Opal Acklen, Mary Chamberlain, Bertha Jones Farvo, and Martha Zukos.
All are welcomed to pay their respects on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM and on Sunday, May 28 from 8:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in the Bieber Cemetery with Rev. Michael Fontenot officiating services.
