alignleftMAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, March 28, 2009 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou for Bertha G. Reed, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in Reed Cemetery with Father Bryce Sibley Celebrant.

She leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss her. Bertha is survived by two sons, Johnny Ray Reed of Duson, La, and Kenneth Wayne Reed, of Mamou, La; three daughters, Mercedes Cargill of La Port, TX, Carrie Mae Reed of Pine Prairie, La and Edie Fay Granger of Reddell, La; two sisters, Hernie Mae Lejeune of Basile, La and Audry Murphy of Lake Charles, La; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theogene and Aurere Deshotel Granger, and four brothers, Guston, Morris, Elton, and Herman Granger.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 10:00 am until time of Services on Saturday. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Friday evening.

Ardoins Funeral Home of Mamou is in charge of arrangements.
