MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, July 14, 2018, for Bertheln Soileau, 90, who passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, in Alexandria, LA.

Father Billy Massie, Pastor at St. Ann's Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.

Burial will take place in the New St. Ann's Cemetery in Mamou.

Bertheln F. Soileau was born on September 11, 1927 in Mamou, LA to Claffy Fontenot and Evelyn Naquin Fontenot. She was a parishioner at St. Ann's Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her two sons, Sherrial Soileau and wife Rose and Richard Soileau and wife Patty; one daughter, Diana Dupre all of Mamou brother, Lesbay Fontenot and wife Bernadine of Eunice; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Soileau of Mamou.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis Soileau; son, Donald Soileau and two sisters, Ozela Ortego and Sis Granger.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 6:00 PM Friday evening. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
