MAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial for Bessie Naquin Dupre, 93, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum with Father Bob Courville officiating.

Mrs. Dupre went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 8:28 a.m. She was a lifelong resident of Mamou and in recent years the Savoy Care Center. She worked on the family farm all her life and was a former owner of her familys grocery store.

A loving mother and grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Harold Dupre and his late wife, Evella June Dupre of Mamou, and Rawlin Dupre and his wife, Sydney Dupre of Slidell; her eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great, great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Jules and Celestine Naquin, and her husband of 56 years, the late Laurent Dupre.

Family request that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to her doctors, the staff at the Savoy Care Center, Savoy Hospice and her sitter, Mrs. Harriet Prater.
