MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Betty Ann Fontenot, 72 announces her passing on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 8:10 pm at Savoy Care Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 3:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou.
Betty will be greatly missed by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Dudley Fontenot two sons, James Kirk Fontenot and wife, Jan of Mississippi and Michael Wayne Tonka Fontenot and wife, Melissa of Eunice: two daughters, Cynthia Gail Dudding and husband, John of Indian Bayou and Rachel Lynne Clavier and husband, David of Eunice one brother, Raymond Thibodeaux of Opelousas and one sister Mary Lou Leger of Opelousas six grandchildren, John Ross Dudding, Jacob Joseph Dudding, Jesse James Clavier, Samantha Lynne Brown, Tobi Lynne Fontenot and Heather Brooke Fontenot and nine great grandchildren.
Betty will now reunite in Heaven with her parents, Adam and
Isabelle Thibodeaux, and two sisters, Shirley Thibodeaux and Jeanette Chellette
They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Funeral Home Home will reopen at 9:00 am on Monday until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
