Bradley Manuel

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Thursday, October 7, 2021, for Bradley Paul Manuel, 69, who passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021.

Father Bala Rayapati, associate pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.

Bradley Paul Manuel was born on July 19, 1952, in Mamou, LA. He was the son of Archie and Mildred Veillon Manuel. A lifelong resident of Mamou, Bradley was a jack of all trades and enjoyed repairing anything and everything. He was always busy doing something. His greatest joy in life was his family. He adored his four beautiful grandchildren. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was his favorite pastime. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family and friends will miss him dearly, but they rejoice in knowing that he is celebrated in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Chesley Manuel; sons, Joshua Manuel and wife, Cora and Matthew Hampshire; daughter, Mikelyn Manuel and fiance’, Casey Ardoin; grandchildren, Jackson, Abram, Sully, and Grier; sisters, Phyllis Bergeron, Stephanie Reed, and Renee’ Manuel; and brothers, Joseph Manuel and Mitch Manuel.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Mildred Veillon Manuel; daughter, Toby Manuel; identical twin brother, Bradford Manuel; and his first wife, Sue Fontenot Manuel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego on Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
