MAMOU The family of Burke G. Pierrotti Sr. announce his passing on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Savoy Medical Center. He was 89 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:30 pm Monday, January 17, 2011 at the St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Interment will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum with Father Richard Broussard Celebrant.
Burke was the owner and operator of Cazan Hotel and Bar for 45 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Sadly missed but joyfully remembered by his son, Burke G. Pierrotti Jr. of Mamou his daughter, Rebecca PierrottiDuplichan and husband, Rocky of Eunice two brothers, Warren Pierrotti and wife, Diane of Mamou and Horace Pierrotti and wife, Mary of Elton two grandchildren, Michelle Miller and husband, Mark of Lafayette and Troy Fontenot of Ville Platte three great grandchildren, Emma Rose and Molly Miller and Kaylee Fontenot.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Rougeau Pierrotti and his parents, William and Ozelma Aucoin Pierrotti.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, January 17th from 9:00 am until time of services.
