Burna was born in Mamou on March 25, 1931, to Ledia and Kennedy Fuselier who preceded her in Death.
Burna was a loving mother and devoted wife. She was married to Joseph Lee Manel for 44 years before his passing in 1991.
Burna was described as a very devout Catholic. Her spirituality was an integral part of her everyday life. She attended Mass every Sunday, finding solace and strength in her religious convictions. Her unwavering devotion served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Burna found joy tending to her flowers and working in her yard. It brought her immense happiness to witness nature’s beauty bloom under her caring hands. She also spent many hours crocheting blankets for her family members and family friends.
Burna, after raising five kids, got a job working in the laundry dept at Savoy Medical Center for 19 years. While working there, she became the Supervisor and was devoted to her work until she physically could no longer work.
Every Sunday, Burna would cook for her family, ensuring that their bellies were filled with love and delicious food. The holidays held a special place in Burna’s heart, but Easter was undoubtedly her favorite. She cherished gathering with loved ones and made sure to remind everyone to bring dyed eggs to pacque--a beloved tradition.

Burna was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Each one of them held a special place in her heart, and her love for them knew no bounds.
