MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the passing of their beloved, husband, father ,brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Calvin Israel, on October 19, 2010 at The Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, at the age of 68. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann Cemetery .
He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his wife Barbara A. Israel of Mamou three daughters Faye Chapman and husband, Kirk of Mamou, Marie Aucoin, and husband Tony of Lanse Meg, and Denise Israel of Mamou one brother, Hampton Israel of Mamou, and three sisters, Merzie Laughlin of Mamou Gladie Israel of Jennings, and Pearl Murphy, of Eunice four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton Louise Israel
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from4:00 pm until 10:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Wednesday Evening .
