MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, for Cecil Alton Rollins, 83, who passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Mamou, LA surrounded by his loved ones.

Brother Jacob Vollm, Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, will conduct all funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Platin Cemetery.

Cecil Alton Rollins was born in Bayou Chicot, LA on April 23, 1935 to his parents Alton Rollins and Lydia Young Rollins. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He is survived by his wife 60 years, DeAnna Fontenot Rollins of Mamou; one son, Alton Terrell Rollins and wife Cheryl Rollins of Vidrine; four daughters, Marcia Chapman and husband Ricky Chapman of Church Point, Danita Tate and husband Andrew Tate of Mamou, Polly Fruge and husband Adam Fruge of Pine Prairie and Reva West and husband Shawn West of Mamou; twelve grandchildren, Cody Rollins, Amber LeJeune, Ashley Chapman, Quincy Chapman, Garrett Tate, Alex Tate, Marlaina Tate, Melanie Soileau, Olivia Roberie, Dylan West, Alyssa West and Jenna West; eleven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Rollins and sister, Joyce Taylor.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Friendship Baptist Church of Pine Prairie on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time.
