MAMOU Celestine Fontenot Tate, 96, went to be with our Lord in Heaven. She passed peacefully at Savoy Medical Center on October 11, 2014 at 3:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reeds Cemetery in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant.

A loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother and friend, Celestine leaves behind one daughter, Dianna Tate Fontenot and husband, Blackie of Mamou one soninlaw, Joe Deshotel eight grandchildren , fifteen greatgrandchildren and thirteen greatgreatgrandchildren.
She will now rest in Heaven with her husband, Etelle Tate, her parents, Josein and Elia Fontenot and one daughter, Tarrel Tate Deshotel. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts. Their reunion will surely be a joyous one.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.
