Chasity Breaux, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Mamou, at the age of 50. Chasity's memory will be honored with services on Thursday, March 27, 2025. A Rosary will be recited at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou at 2:30 PM, followed by a Mass at 3:00 PM. A graveside service will take place at the New St. Ann Cemetery at 4:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to pay their final respects. Father Billy Massie will officiate services.
Chasity was born on Monday, July 29, 1974, in Mamou, Louisiana to Becky Aucoin and later adopted by James Glenn Breaux. Chasity was known for her loving and caring nature, impacting the lives of those around her. She dedicated herself to her career as a hardworking housekeeper, a role in which she took great pride. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her passion for cooking, notably creating a delicious stew that brought joy to many family gatherings.
A woman of many talents, Chasity was very creative and active, engaging in various hobbies that showcased her artistic flair including creating beautiful items with her cricket machine. She found joy in many outdoor activities such as playing basketball, riding her bike, and growing flowers. Each of these activities highlighted her vivacious spirit and her love for life.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her including her father, James Glenn Breaux and wife Carolyn; mother, Rebecca “Becky” Aucoin and husband, Mike; son, Daygon Scott Breaux and fiancé, Paige Bergeron; daughter, Kelby Brook Willis and fiancé, Brock Fontenot; step-daughter, Brook Bergeron and husband, Dylan; brother, Brandon Scott Breaux and wife, Raconda;; and paternal grandmother, Betty Breaux. The memories shared with her six grandchildren, Dayson, Ryker, Mardi, Greyson, Demi, and Tucker will forever live in their hearts.
Chasity is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Floyce and Merreline Dupre; paternal grandfather, Sidney Breaux; and her great grandparents, Tonise, Sr. and Laurice Moreau, who were instrumental in raising her to be the kind hearted and loving person that she grew up to be.
Chasity leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will be cherished by her family and friends for years to come.
