MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Clifford Ardoin, 95, announces his passing on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Chapel Services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Ardoins Funeral Chapel in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Thainese officiating.
Clifford served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his children, Clifford Keith Ardoin and wife, Dianna of Mamou, Derryl Ardoin of Mamou and Roberta Tuttie Bergeron and husband, Bernard of Eunice one sister, Bessie Ledoux of Lafayette four grandchildren, Dana Ardoin, Jeffery Ardoin, Amy Fall and Erin Bergeron and five great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Darnell M. Ardoin, his parents, Joseph and Lena Fuselier Ardoin, a brother, Deanius Ardoin and three sisters, Hazel Fontenot, Aza Fontenot and Verna Arceneaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 8:00 AM until services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
