MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Clifford Duplechin, 88 announces his passing on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 4:16 am at Nice Extended Care Hospital in Eunice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum in Mamou.
Mr. Clifford was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Veteran of Foreign Wars for over 50 years. Former member of the Mamou Rotary, American Legion Post 123 A member of Woodman of the World and was an Usher at St. Anns Catholic Church for many years He also was a member of the Volunteer Fire Dept. in Mamou for many years.
Clifford will be greatly missed by his two sons, Luther Duplechin and wife, Jennifer of Lafayette, and Bob Duplechin and wife, Gail of Mamou one daughter, Christine Duplechin of Mamou seven grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren
Clifford will now reunite in Heaven with his wife, Gertie Mae Bass Duplechin, his parents, Elvere and Marie Duplechin three brothers and 1 sister.
They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm
The Funeral Home will reopen at 8:00 am until time of services.
