MAMOU- Cynthia Martin age 65, lived a happy life just as she wanted it. On August 30, 2017 the heavens opened to let an angel in.
Visitation will be Saturday September 2, 2017 at Ardoin Funeral Home in Mamou, beginning at 9am until dismissal at 10.30am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday September 02, 2017at 11:00 a.m.at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Mausoleum with Father Billy Massey as Celebrant.
Pall bears to serve are Chris Martin, Adam Martin, Danny Salman, Sonny Deshotel, Jacob Prince, and Stephen Prince.
Cindy was a graduate of Mamou High School class of 1970, and a graduate of Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans. She attended on a full Scholarship from Savoy Medical Center. She started her Nursing Career at Savoy Medical Center, from there she moved on to Ville Platte Medical Center, then Oakdale Medical Center. After devoting her life to the care of others she retired at the age of 65. Cindy loved her work family immensely. She lived a happy life just as she wanted it. She loved nursing.
Cynthia is survived by her companion Roland Guillory, her sister Sundra Deshotel and husband Mike, her brother Carl Martin and his wife Emmaline, her niece Sonia Michelle Prince and husband Stephen, Andrea Salmon and husband Danny nephews Sonny Deshotel and wife Christy, Christopher Martin and wife Julie, Adam Martin and wife Lisa, great-niece and nephew Jacob , Taylor, Alaina, Caylee, Austin, Garrett, William ,Maddie ,Finn, Hanna, Mia, Tessa, and McKenna Kate.
Cynthia is now reunited in Heaven with Her parents Wilburn "Red" and Mary Lou Augustine Martin. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
