Dale Ortego

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 for Donnie Dale Ortego, 75, who passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Father Billy Massie, Pastor of. St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Dale Ortego was born on November 8, 1945 to Merrick and Ozelia Fontenot Ortego.  He enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints and Nascar.  Dale enjoyed going to suppers in Mamou and visiting with his friends and family.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Michelle Miller and husband, Mark of Lafayette; and two granddaughters, Emma Rose Miller and Molly Miller.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Merrick and Ozelia Fontenot Ortego.

The family requests that visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM.  A rosary will be recited in his honor on Monday evening at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
