MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Hoffpauir announces his passing on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10:17 pm at the Our Lady Of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. he was 73. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou at 3:00 pm, with Father Austin Leger Celebrant. Rite of Committial will be held at New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou. A longtime School Board Member for the Evangeline Parish School Board, and Owner and Operator of the Western Auto in Mamou for 28 years.
A loving father,brother, grandfather, and friend, Dan will be remembered by one son Timothy Barry Hoffpauir and wife Catherine Hollier of Eunice two daughters, Lisa Marie Hoffpauir of Las Vegas, and Melissa Ann Hoffpauir Horn and husband Jimmy Horn Sr. of Baton Rouge one brother, Dennis Hoffpauir and wife Lou of Mamou three grandchildren, Kortney Horn, Cameron Hoffpauir, and Kelly Green two greatgrandchildren Reese and Brayden Green Dan now rests in heaven with his parents, Wilbur and Berna Hoffpauir, his wife Barbara Ann Dupre Hoffpauir step father, Lindsey Granger, and one grandson, Jimmy Horn, Jr..
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 12:00 am and again on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday, evening with Deacon Chuck Ortego. Ardoins Funeral Home of Mamou is in charge of arrangements. 337.468.5231.
