Dinny Hawkins

MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, May 24, 2019, for Dinny Ethan Hawkins, 75, who passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Lafayette, LA.

Reverend Brian Johnston will conduct the funeral service.

Dinny Ethan Hawkins was born in Shreveport, LA on January 5, 1944 to his parents Ethan Amon Hawkins and Viola Christine Harty.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his spouse, Sandra J. Wilson; daughter, Shani D. Turner and husband Michael A. Turner of Dumas, TX; seven grandchildren, Ethan Turner, Natalie Wilson, Kelci Fontenot, Camryn Fontenot, Ainslei Fontenot, Levi Fontenot and Vivian Wilson; and one sister, Naomi "Ruth" Waguespack of Pearland, Tx.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time.
