MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Dwight Dalbis Gradney,Jr, 60, announces his passing on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his residence in Lake Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday ,February 26, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Thainese as Celebrant.
Dwight was a Proud LSU Graduate, Business Owner; He also loved Zydeco & the Blues, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends.
Dwight will be greatly missed by his children, Martin "Beau" Gradney and wife, Anna of Fordoche and Anna Gradney Bellow and husband, Brad of Baton Rouge , Marcus Porche and wife, Valerie and , Casey Lejeune and husband, John.
Mr. Gradney will also be missed by his two sisters, Roislin Victorian and husband, James of Oberlin and Sherry Gradney Bowman and husband, Richard of Plano, Tx.
And six grandchildren, Owen, Samuel and Amelia Rey Gradney and , Aiden Porche and Ethan and Evan Lejeune.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Gracie and Dalbis Gradneyand one sister, LindaFaye Gradney. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 A.M. on Friday until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening starting at 6:00 P.M.
