MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Earl J. LaFleur, 69 announces his passing on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 1:39 P.M. at his residence in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Thursday, May 14,2015 at 11:00 A.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Mausoleum with Father Brian Harrington as Celebrant.
Earl was a United States Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict having served in Korea.
Earl will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Emeralla "Evie" LaFleur of Mamou; one brother, Roy LaFleur and wife, Peggy of Baton Rouge ; one brother-in -law, Tony Vidrine and wife, Cindy of Ville Platte; A host of nieces and nephews.
Altar servers will be nephews, Trey and Drew Fontenot; the readers will be Coletta Soileau and Aubree Fontenot. Pall Bearers will be his nephews, Carl Vidrine, Cade Vidrine, Tyler Vidrine, Mike LaFleur, Randy LaFleur and Jacob Berzas. the gift bearers will be Alexis McGlyn and Shelby Vidrine. Honorary Pall Bearers will be the Mamou Volunteer Fire Fighters.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Eluis and Pearl LaFleur, one brother, Roger Lee LaFleur and two nephews, Wayne and Jody LaFleur. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 6:00 P.M.on Wednesday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
