MAMOU-Funeral services for Mr. Edley Kye Fontenot will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte. Brother Kevin West officiating.

Mr. Fontenot, age 82, a resident Vidrine, died on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Opelousas General Hospital. Mr. Fontenot was a Retired Banker and Farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents Acgee Adella Fontenot; his wife, Ivy F. Fontenot ; a son, Blake Fontenot; a brother R.L. Jim Fontenot; a sister, Lillie Mae Chaddrick.

The visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2006 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, 8:00 am until time of services.

Survivors include his daughter, Gwen Fontenot, of Vidrine ; threee grandchildren, Bobby Fontenot, Casey Fontenot, Nicky Fontenot; two great-grandchildren, Madison Fontenot, Ayden Fontenot and a companion Jenny Bordelon of Simmesport.
