MAMOU-It is with great sadness that the family of Ella Mae Fontenot, 88, announces her passing on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Eunice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Monday June 29, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery with Father Richard Broussard Celebrant.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Ella Mae will be greatly missed by her husband of 71 years, Jules Simon Fontenot, Jr of Eunice; sons, Donald Fontenot and wife Sara of Pineville, and Mark Fontenot and wife, Yvette of Mamou; daughters, Dorothy Serlin and husband, Phillip of Stanton, Ca, Teresa Miller and husband, Shelton of Egan and Susan Bergeron and husband, Paul of Eunice; one sister, Vivian Hall and husband, Johnie of Eunice; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.
Ella Mae will now reunite on Heaven with her parents, Addison and Lenore Guillory, one brother, Roosevelt Guillory, two sisters, Evelyn Guillory and Vergie Pierrotti and her granddaughters, Kristyn Fontenot and Rebecca Sliman. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
