Mamou It is with great sadness that the family of Elta Bushnell, 90 announces her passing on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 in St. Anns Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery.
A loving mother and grandmother, Elta will be lovingly remembered by her son, Steven Saucier of Alexandria daughter, Mrs. Kermit Maxie Clavier of Eunice two grandchildren, Mrs. Gary Linda Soileau of Eunice and David Clavier and wife, Rachel of Eunice four great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Saucier and her second husband, John Coriel Bushnell.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
