MAMOU~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Emerella "Evie" LaFleur announces her passing on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte at the age of 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Friday, March 1, 2019 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Entombment will follow in the New St. Ann's Mausoleum with Fr. Massie Celebrant.

Evie, as she was known by many retired from the Sabine State Bank. She was a wonderful person and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on in all who loved her, especially her brother, Tony Vidrine and wife, Cindy of Ville Platte; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. LaFleur; parents, Nasen and Gladys Fontenot Vidrine and a brother, Joseph Stafford Vidrine.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Thursday, February 28th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, March 1st from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Thursday.
