MAMOU It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Ethelene Fruge announces her passing on Wednesday, April 03, 2013 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 06, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie. Interment will follow at the St. Peters Cemetery in Pine Prairie with Brother Todd Richardson officiating.
Ethelene was a homemaker and dedicated herself to the love and care of her family, and was a a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend, she leaves behind to cherish her memory of her son, Jeff Fruge and wife Elma of upper Pine Prairie, her daughters, Cindy Jones of Pine Prairie and Rhonda Youngman and husband Brian of Crescent City, Florida, two sisters Dora Ortego of Lafayette and Mona Norton and husband Ray of Easton. Eleven grandchildren , Katina, Chasity, Samantha, James, Jessica, Latisha, Shannon, Shaun, David, Krista, and Kayla twentyfour great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Simon Guillory and Lonia Fruge, her husband, Oremus Fruge, Jr. and one brotherinlaw, Floyd Ortego
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at the Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 10:00 am until time of services on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
