MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Eva L. Martel, 94, announces her passing on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Savoy Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old St. Ann Mausoleum with Father Mark Melancon as Celebrant.
A loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Eva will be lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren ,Tiffany Ogden of Mamou and Ashley Page of Baton Rouge and sisters, Mary Cothran Rettberg,of Opelousas, and Ethel Fontenot of Mamou one brother, Clarence Landreneau of Houma.four greatgrandchildren, Destiny, Brittany, Cory and Chloe Ogden
She now rest in Heaven with her beloved parents, Eddie and Marie Landreneau her husband, Louis Martel two sons, James Martel and Harry Martel four brothers, Lester, Howard, Chester and Lionel Landreneau two sisters, Priscilla Menier and Mary Lou McDaniel.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and again Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Tuesday evening.
