DURALDE-Funeral Services will be held at a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, April 26, 2019, for Ferrell Glen McGee, 69, who passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Duralde, LA surrounded by his loved ones.

Reverend Monsignor Romero, Pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.

Burial will take place in Reed Cemetery.

Ferrell Glen McGee was born on November 14, 1949 to Adjust and Evena Fuselier McGee. Born and raised on a farm in Duralde, Ferrell started farming cotton at a very young age. As he got older, he went on to farm rice, soybeans, and crawfish. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and helping them with anything they needed. Ferrell volunteered for 27 years with the W.C. Read Fire Department. He enjoyed camping and gardening, but his biggest passion was his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Brenda Dupre McGee; children, Shelly Bieber and husband Kody of Mamou, Shaine McGee and wife Amanda of Duralde, Nadine Richardson and husband Sean of Eunice, and Rhonda McCauley and husband Billy of Mamou grandchildren, Heather Bieber Manuel and husband Grant, Heidi Bieber, Brock Bieber, Victoria McGee, Joshua McGee, Kaleb McGee, Matthew McGee, Sean Patrick Richardson, Shelby Richardson, Nathan McCauley, and Ethan McCauley; and great granddaughter, Anne Maire Manuel.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adjust McGee and Evena Fuselier McGee.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon David Guillory at 6:00 PM Thursday. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
