MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Gilbert Perron
announces his passing on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his residence in Crowley, La. at the age of 72. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou, on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon officiating.
Gilbert, a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, will be sadly missed by his four sons, Gilbert Perron, Jr. and wife, Amy of Port Barre, Ray Allen Perron and wife, Michelle of Iota, Larry Buxton and wife, Tammy of Oklahoma, and Todd Buxton and wife, Andrea of Sulphur seven daughters, Cynthia Hebert and husband, Patrick of Basile, Susan Bergeron and husband, Ronald of Pine Prairie, Connie Perron of Crowley, Debra Brown and husband, Brian of Lake Charles, Sharon Thibodeaux and husband, Craig of Lake Charles, Laura McDonald and husband, Randy of Lake Charles, and Donna Guidry of Oklahoma thirtyone grandchildren and thirtyeight great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Carrie Perron and beloved second wife, Jean Perron daughter, Paula Perron and parents, Yale and Lillie Perron.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 3:00 pm until time of services on Saturday, October 15, 2011. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Friday evening.
