MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Gladys Kat Manuel announces her passing on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Savoy Care Center in Mamou, at the age of 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 15, 2011. Interment will follow in the Reeds Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon officiating.

Kat a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, will be sadly missed by her husband, Harris Manuel Sr. of Mamou three sons, Harris Manuel Jr. and wife, Charlotte of Broken Arrow Ok., Pat Manuel and wife Barbara of Scott and Wade Manuel of Scott one daughter, Hedy M. Andrepont and husband, Dean of Scott one sister, Nell Rose Miller LeBouef of Lake Charles eight grandchildren, Michael Manuel, Kelly Saccaro, Hayley Dela Canal, Sean Manuel, Garrett Wiggins, Ian Wiggins John Manuel and Justin Manuel and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Oscar and Adolphina Miller .

At the request of the Manuel family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm.The Funeral Home will reopen on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 8:00 am until time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Saturday evening.
