MAMOUA Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at St Anns Catholic Church, for Hampton Israel, age 81. Hampton died on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 1:30 pm at his residence in Mamou. Interment will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Berthaline F. Israel of Mamou two sons, Dennis Israel and wife, Anita of Mamou, John Israel and wife Angela of Alexandria four daughters, Sheila Deshotels and husband, Derryl , Sally Chapman and husband, Brook, Roxy Christ and husband, Scotty and Helen Israel all of Mamou thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren three sisters, Mercy Laughlin of Mamou, Glady Meyens of Jennings, and Annie Pearl Murphy of Eunice Hampton was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Louise Israel, one son, Ronald Ray Israel, three brothers, LaWood Israel, Calvin Israel and Clinus Israel he will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, January 06, 2012 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm, and again on Saturday, January 07, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 6:00pm at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel..
