Harvey Hildebrand

MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 11:00 AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, October 26, 2019, for Harvey Loyce “Tee-bo” Hildebrand, 86, of Mamou, LA formerly of Chidester, AR who passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Lafayette, LA after a long struggle with Alzhiemer’s disease.

Burial will take place in New St. Ann's Cemetery.

Harvey Loyce “Tee-bo” Hildebrand was born in Camden, AR to the union of W.L. “Bun” Hildebrand and Minnie Mae Hildebrand.  He married Ms. Betty DesHotels of Mamou, LA on February 29, 1982 and lived most of his life in her native hometown.  He was a retired welder for Texas Oil and Gas, as well as a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He also was a former land owner with his brother, the late Bobby Hildeband, of Chidester, AR.

He is survived by his son, Kerry DesHotels and wife Susan; grandson, Casey DesHotels and wife Heather; and great-grandson, Lane DesHotels all of Lafayette, LA, whom he loved dearly.   He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Herrington and husband Al and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Pat Hildebrand all of Camden, AR.  He had 3 nephews and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his spouse, Betty DesHotels Hildebrand of Mamou; parents, Mr. W.L. and Mrs. Minnie Hildebrand, sister, Francis Alston and husband Fred; and brother, Bobby Hildebrand of Camden, AR.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of service.

The family would like to thank his many caretakers.  With special appreciation to Pheobe Cormier and Prisilla Charles.  Also, to Cathy Mouton and the staff at Cedar Crest Memory Facility, and Hospice for their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s association or charity of your choice.
