MAMOUIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Helen Marie Saucier announces her passing on Thursday, February 03, 2011 at her residence, at the age of 69. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 05, 2011. Interment will follow in the New St. Ann Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon officiating.

Helen, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend she will be sadly missed by her son, Randy Saucier of Mamou two daughters, Belinda Saucier and Melissa Saucier, both of Mamou brother, Jimmy Istre of Crowley three sisters, Shelia Arceneaux of Welsh, Juanita Kelbeau of Maryland, and Loretta Guidry of Lyons Point sister in law, Germaine Reed and husband, Robert of Ville Platte five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Helen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, J.L. Saucier parents, Henry and Anna Istre three brothers, Huey Istre, Michael Istre, and Richard Istre grandson, Joseph Brett Saucier and great grandson, Jayden Freeman.

At the request of the Saucier family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, February 04, 2011 from 2:00 pm until time of services on Saturday, February 05, 2011. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday evening by Deacon Perron.
