MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Hueward Manuel, Sr.,78 announces his passing on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 7:55 PM at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will be in the First Baptist Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant.
Hueward will be greatly missed by his wife of 32 years, Bernadine Perron Manuel of Mamou four sons, Leonard Manuel and wife Theresa of Sulphur, Sonny James Manuel and Hueward Manuel, Jr and wife Samantha both of Mamou and Patrick Jay Manuel and wife Lisa of Reddell two brothers, Ronald Manuel of Eunice and Kenneth Manuel of Spring,Tx. four sisters, Helen Fontenot of Eunice, Elsie Hahn of Coushatta, Drucella Perkins of Spring,Tx and Sarah Dietz of Tomball,Tx ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Manuel, his parents, Leopold and Verdie Manuel and one sister, Laura Granger.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 8:00 AM until Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Monday evening. Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
