MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Jake Michael Dupuis announces his passing on Sunday, February 06, 2011 at Lafayette Regional Medical Center. He was 77 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday, February 08, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann Mausoleum with Fr. Mark Melancon Celebrant, and Fr. Albert Nunez CoCelebrant.

Jake was very active and a leader in many civic organizations in the community. He was also owner and operator of Dupuis Insurance Agency for 46 years. He leaves behind a loving and caring family including his wife of 62 years, Linda Lee Vidrine Dupuis of Mamou three sons, John Rickey Dupuis and wife, Linda, Michael Rhett Dupuis and wife, Elizabeth, and Gregory Wayne Dupuis and wife, Carla, all of Mamou one brother, James Linus Dupuis of Mamou seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He now rests in Heaven with his parents, John and Elizabeth Guillory Dupuis and brother, Floyd Dupuis.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, February 07, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday, February 08, 2011. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening.
