Mamou-Funeral services for James Mitchell Ortego, 44 were held on Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Ardoin Funeral Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Father Bob Courville officiating. Burial for Mr. Ortego followed in the Ortego Cemetery. James a resident of Easton died at his resident on Saturday, May 5, 2007at 4:15 A.M..

Mr. Ortego, is survived, by his father, John Stanley Ortego, of Bunkie, La; one sister, Rebecca Sue Dupre, and her husband, David Scott Dupre, one nephew, Brandon Lee Joseph Ortego, and one niece, Courtney Renee Dupre all of Easton, La.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Olicia Jane Ortego.

Visitation began on Sunday, May 6, 2007, from 9:00 A.M.- until 10:00 P.M.. the Funeral Home reopened at 8:00 A.M. until time of services on Monday.
