James Fontenot

VIDRINE– Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, February 8, 2020, for James Ronald Fontenot, 69, who passed away on February 4, 2020 in Vidrine, LA.

Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary-Christine Fontenot; his mother, Florella Fontenot; three daughters, Brooke Mayeaux and husband, Colby of Ville Platte, Michelle Fontenot Bertrand of Baton Rouge and Jamie Deshotel and husband Cody of Grand Prairie; son, Chris Fontenot and wife, Jenny of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Blakelyn Mayeaux, Drew Mayeaux, Cole Bertrand, Lilia Deshotel, Analeigh Fontenot and Charlotte Fontenot; one sister, Deanna Eddards and husband, Michael of Billings, MT.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cline Fontenot.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.  A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 5:00 PM on Friday. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
