MAMOU - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 for Jean Ellen Rougeau, 78, who passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 in Mamou.

Father Billy Massie, Pastor of St. Ann's will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Reed Cemetery.

Jean Ellen Rougeau was born in Mamou, Louisiana on November 11, 1940 to Wesley and Lurry Fontenot Reed. Jean worked alongside her father in a family owned business, where she made numerous hamburgers and socialized with the public. After the death of her husband 15 years ago, Jean dedicated all of her time to her grandchildren.. Jean will be sadly missed by all those who loved this great lady.

Jean is survived by her son Stacy Rougeau and wife Sandy of Mamou, daughters Shelia Elliott and husband David of Crooked Creek and Susan Verrette and husband Glen of Mamou, and her brother Charles Reed of Mamou. Her memory will live on through her nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She now joins in Heaven her parents, husband Warren Gerald Rougeau, and brother Winston Reed.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, December 26 from 9:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 12:00 PM and will be led by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
