MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of John Clyde Courville, Sr., 75, announces his passing on Friday, November 08, 2013 at 8:41am at Savoy Care Center in Mamou. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant.
John, better known as Soupee by those who knew and loved him, will be greatly missed by his loving children, John Clyde Pete Courville, Jr. of Reddell, Shannon Marie Courville and husband, Anthony Rougeau of Mamou two stepdaughters, Audrey LeDoux and husband, Larry of St. Landry, and Juanita Castille of Lawtell sisters, Agnes Ashford of Basile, Ruth Rawls of Baton Rouge, Elaine Guillory of Eunice, and Joann Sittig Augustine of Bradenton, FL ten grandchildren, Brandon, Chase, Logan, Toni, Bryant, Joshua, Erica, Anthony, Sarah, and Calvin and sixteen great grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his beloved wives, Genora Young Courville and Cookie Courville parents,Yeves Courville and Bell Bellow sister, Norma Jean Koshaba.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am on Wednesday morning.
