Joseph Berzas

MAMOU – Private Funeral services will be held for Joseph Larry Berzas, 79, who passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Mamou, Louisiana.

Deacon Chuck Ortego will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Joseph Larry Berzas was born in Mamou, LA on September 13, 1940 to Odey and Bazelite Morein Berzas.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sharon Tate Berzas; two sons, David Elliott  and wife, Sheila of Mamou and Jonathan Toby Berzas and wife, Bylinda of State Collage, PA; his daughter, Lisa Berzas Triplett and husband Mike of Reddell; step-son, Chad Veillon and wife Lynn of Moss Bluff; two step-daughters, Rachel LaFleur and husband, Kirk and Nichole Fritz and husband Shannon both of Mamou; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and his mother-in-law, Carina “Taunte Sue" Vasseur of Mamou.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Odey and Bazelite Morein Berzas and his sister, Etheline Bolfa.
