Mamou- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Kenneth Bert Charlie, 61 at St. Anns Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 2: 00 p.m. with Father Bob Courville Officiating. Burial will follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery in Ville Platte, La.

Mr. Charlie, a resident of Mamou died on Monday, November 26, 2007.

He is Survived by his wife, Lena Charlie of Mamou, La; four sons, Michael, David Charlie and Austin Reed all of Mamou, La and Kenneth Charlie of Lans Aux Pailles, La.two step-daughters, Leanna Reed of Eunice, La and Aneria Reed of Mamou, La; one brother, Bob Charlie of Port Arthur, Tx; three sisters, Bobbie Dean Moreau, of Lans Meg, Rose Savant of Ville Platte, La, and Melda Manuel, of Prairieville, La;ten grandchildren.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Melda Cole Charlie of Mamou; two brothers, Buford Charlie, and Donald Charlie all of Mamou, La and two sisters, Betty Dupre, of Plaisance, and Jane Vidrine of Ville Platte, La.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. until time of services.

Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou is in charge of arrangements.
