MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at an 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Thursday, February 11, 2021 for Kenneth Ray Courville, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Mamou, Louisiana.
Father Bala Rayapati will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Kenneth Ray Courville was born on April 9, 1942 in Chataignier, LA to Delcambre and Lillian Courville. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an AC/Refrigeration repair man for many years. He was a kind friendly man who never met a stranger. He loved to sit at the café’ drinking coffee and tea talking about a number of subjects.
Kenneth is survived by his three daughters, Samantha Trattles, Kim Landreneau and husband, Michael, and Maxie Deville and husband, Keith; son, Randy Courville; brother, Al Courville; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Wilma T. Courville; parents, Delcambre and Lillian Courville; son, James Courville, son-in-law, Bobby Trattles; grandson, Brock Landreneau; sisters, Yvonne Guillory, Maxie Courville; and Wanda Young; and brothers Bertman Courville, Ronald Courville and Delcambre J. Courville.
The family requests that visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Reverend Caleb Sons on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 10, 2021 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
