MAMOU - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, for Lawrence "Do" Guillory, 95 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou at 2:00 P.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Thainese as Celebrant.
Mr. Guillory was a Veteran of WWII having served in the United States Navy
A loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Do will be greatly missed by his two sons, Anthony (Tony) Guillory and wife, Jan of Mamou, Timothy (Tim) Guillory and wife, Rhonda of Patterson; three daughters, Linda Wilson and husband, Jennings, Cynthia Fontenot and husband, Cecil and Becky Jeamard and husband David all of Ville Platte; one sister, Rose Huguet of Opelousas; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He will now rest in Heaven with his wife, Agatha Manuel Guillory, his parents, Fredrick and Rose LaHaye Guillory, one son, Nolan Keith Guillory and one brother, Stanley Guillory
They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family visitation will be held on Thursday January 14, 2016 from 8:00 A.M.. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 12:00 Noon by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
