Mamou- Funeral services were held for Lena Deshotel, 90 on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at St. Anns Catholic Church, with Father Bob Courville officiating. Burial followed in the Ortego Cemetery.

Mrs. Deshotel , a resident of Mamou , died on Saturday , May 12, 2007 at 8:24 p.m. at the Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou.

She is survived by two daughters, Wylene Cole and Berthaline Deshotel, both of Mamou; one sister, Lee Belle Bourque of Ville Platte; three grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren..

Mrs. Deshotel was preceded in death by her husband, Rene Deshotel; one son, Donald Lee Deshotel.

Visitation was held, on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 11:00a.m. until 9:00 p.m. the funeral home reopened on Tuesday , May 15, 2007 until time of funeral. A rosary was recited Mon day, May 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou was in Charge of arrangements.
