Linda Dupuis

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 2:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Monday, December 23, 2019 for Linda Dupuis, 86, who passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 in Eunice.

Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Mausoleum.

Linda Dupuis, was born in Mamou on April 17, 1933 to Nelson “Buck” and Drine Vidrine.  She was deeply committed to the blessed Virgin Mary and was big supporter of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church where she was long time Eucharistic minister.  Linda was a strong advocate for right to life and believed that all life was a precious gift from God.  She was a former operating room nurse.  Linda married Jake Dupuis and together they had a deep love for and commitment to their family.  Linda and Jake owned the Dupuis Insurance Agency in Mamou for many years.  When not working or caring for and spending time with her family, Linda loved to travel.  Linda was cherished by many and will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her three sons, Ricky Dupuis and wife, Linda, Michael Dupuis and wife, Liz, and Greg Dupuis and wife, Carla; grandchildren Ashley Rider, Alex Dupuis, Ryan Dupuis, Buck Dupuis, Samantha Rougeau, and Taylor Douget; and twelve great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jake Dupuis, parents Nelson “Buck” and Drine Vidrine, and grandson Kyle Dupuis.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, December 22 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Visitation will resume Monday at 10:00 AM until time of service.  A rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM led by Angie Granger.
