Mamou- a Mass of Christian will be Celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou for Loretta Jane Fontenot, 73, who passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou, La . Rite of Committial will follow in the Reeds Cemetery with Father Josh Guillory Celebrant.

Loretta was a good wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was very active in the Church. She was a Eucristic minster , lector for St. Anns Catholic Church.She also was a contact person for the prayer line. She gave communion th shut ins and patients in the Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Ozeman J. BOB Fontenot, of Lanse Meg La; two sons, William BILLY Fontenot and wife, Jolene of Youngsville, La, Todd Fontenot and wife Gwen of Maurice, La; four daughters, Gail Reed of Opelousas, La Vallery Twedell of Mamou, La, Lynn Wilson and husband, Jim, of Lanse Meg, La, and Rella Romero and husband, Ritchie, of Maurice, La.

Loretta was preceded in death by her Parents, Wesley, and Denna Manuel, one son, Nick Fontenot, and her brother, James Manuel.

The family request that visitation be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, from 8:00 am until time of services. Father Pius Vallooran will resite the rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
